I've come across several Whites being taken as Mexican or Latino (ofc not as Harnizo/Mestizo) mostly cuz about 15% of Hispanic/Latino Americans can pass easily in Europe..

About 85% of Americans are of pale-skinned origin
(Roughly) 50% of White Americans are of British Isles descent, 25% of German/Dutch, 5% Scandinavian, 5% of Polish/Russian.. another 15% cover French, Italian, etc
=> you see how atypical a person would be if a white person is not light enough

For instance, many White Cubans are taken as Latino by many Americans


My estimation: (won't be taken as Latino in Italian American dominant places cuz average White person is not very light there)
15% of Bulgarian/Romanian/Albanian
20% of Iberian, Greeks
20% of Italians (30% for Siclian/Calabrese, may be 5% for ethnic-Northern Italy)
