Yeah I think Croatians and Serbians are the same. I honestly don't know the difference. They both speak the same language. The only thing that separates them is Religion. I think Croatians persecuted Serbs during WW2 because of religion. If it was racial then they wouldn't have planned to convert one third of them to Catholicism. I hear that the way the used to determine identities back then was to ask you to do the sign of the cross. If you did it Right to left instead of left to right then they either shot you or imprisoned you. That's pretty sad that people divide themselves on something as stupid as which way you make the sign of the cross.

That's interesting. I didn't know that Angles and Saxons were Germanic tribes. I knew that German and English came from the same origin, and one was a variation of the other. I guess German was the Predecessor of English, or is it the other way around? Maybe the just developed differently after they settled in the different areas. But thanks for the input I have some research to do now.

Why has there always been such self hate among Slavs? Is this a production of communism or just general dislike for other Slavic nations?
Anyways, completely Slavic with minor Germanic cultural influences.

Serbs and Croats originated in East Persia (associated with Scythians probably? [but I haven't researched much] but I would suppose this is where the Nazi racial theorists confused Goths and Scyths) before migrating to Europe, in a few stages:

Spoiler!

The only time I heard of the term Scynthians was in the bible, and that took place in the middle east. I guess geographically Serbia and Croatia would be near East Persian, or near the Eastern part of the Persian Empire, but I think they originated from another part of Europe and Settled there. If they were from the Persian Empire, wouldn't they all be Muslims? I think the Ottoman empire got into the Balkans sometime in the 14 th century, but the Serbs tried to fight them off and they didn't assimilate into the Turkish empire. I think maybe some Bosnians assimilated because they became But the Ottoman empire pretty much dissolved after WW1.

Well Serbian Men must like Croatian women because My dad married My Mom. I don't think Serbs were complaining when Yugoslavia existed. They were better off when they were attached to Croatia. Otherwise they wouldn't have tried to Stop the Croats from leaving when they declared independence. If there is a saying like the one that you said then it must be written because Serbs fear Croatian superiority!

Meh, Slavic . Germanic thing was just propaganda, although some parts of Croatia have ''Germanic'' cultural influence. Genetically mix of Slavs and ancient Balkanites, with minor Germanic and neolithic, even ''Avar'' admix I guess. About Iranian theory, well it is interesting, it is possible rulling classes of Croat tribes were of non-Slavic origin, but they didn't left any genetic imprint so who knows.
