Anthropology of Romanians

If i randomly saw the blonde guy in black top and the light haired guy with bob marley top i probably wouldnt guess them to be Romanians.

Not saying they dont fit just not what usually would imagine as more typical Romanian look.

The others in that pic to me appear more what i would expect as more typical of Romanian looks.

really ?

actually in certain times of my teen years i didnt look too diferent to those 2 guys like a mixture of them in a way.

im sure there are light haired Romanian guys just probably not on average ?

I'm half joking but he does look atypical for a Romanian. I've seen Romanian blondes on rare occasions in Romanian-Americans but it's redheads that I almost never see in Romanians. I imagine redheads are more common in Hungarians due to some Germanic admixture. I'll be visiting Transylvania later this Spring so it will be interesting to take note of looks in Romanians, Székely, etc. I doubt I'll have time to go to the Banat region though.

Romanian features favor women over men. Cute alpine or pontid women with additional med features. Romanians are traditionally short but I get the feeling that is changing with a more western influence and diet. Hungarian women are also very attractive, I always liked Zsa Zsa Gabor.

Hungarians are not typically tall in general, i would guess shorter on avg compared to their southern Slav neighbours Serbs and Croats.

Do you find these similar to Serbs or Hungarians?

Neither. They look unique.

Mostly Balkan types with not so significant Slavic input. On group, they are darker than the people from Republic of Moldova, however they are the closest lingustic relatives of Romanians.

Best fit for them (outside Románia) maybe Bulgaria and North Macedonia.

I think Serbs and Croats are some of the tallest people earth so no shame being shorter than them. Hungarians are probably taller than Romanians on average but i have the stereotype of Romanians being short because my grandparents were very diminutive. My father was not tall but clearly taller than my grandparents because of an American diet.

The men in my family are all around 5'11 around 180 cm including me.
But I feel younger generations here in the west are getting taller. I dont feel tall at all amongst younger males.
