I understand how people develop a chip on their shoulder about the opposite sex but it requires such emotional dysfunction and immaturity that I'm simply not capable of it at this point in my life.

I briefly had a phase like that after one bad man in my life in my early 20's, but now I recognize it as an emotionally immature reaction to something caused by one bad man and nothing else. I cringe thinking about it.

I guess emotional dysfunction and immaturity are somewhat strong and judgemental terms in this case.

Immaturity isn't really a strong and judgmental term - everyone starts off immature and you slowly shed different aspects of it for the rest of your life.

Dysfunction may be harsh, but it is somewhat dysfunctional to judge half of humanity over some bad romantic experiences.

Ultimately as I became more mature and functional I realized that my choice in men was bad, and that it doesn't reflect upon all men ever. Just a subset of losers I was prone to ending up with.

I left a neighborhood club one night and walked towards my apartment, and I walked in the same direction as two girls who left the club too (one attractive and one fat), and the fat chick said, "why are you following us" like I was some kind of dangerous, frightening threat to them. My inner jerk came out, and I said, "baby you have absolutely nothing to worry about."

I had one day visited a neighbourhood in the city where i lived as a kid.

I took some photos with an actual camera not phone of some the old buildings and apartments where i had lived , there was a couple of black teenage aboriginal girls nearby and they asked me " if i had taken photos of them " , which was somewhat ridiculous question as i had not pointed my camera anywhere near them.

Todays society has seemingly become over sensitive and over reactive and over suspicious.
