    Ostriches and other sea birds yes. But land birds seldom do.

    Yes, you are right, but apparently they had some prehistoric cousins in Australia that could and did walk on two legs. They went extinct 30.000 years ago. They are called sthenurines and the biggest members of this extinct kangaroo family may not have hopped at all.

    According to new research, the extinct "sthenurine" family of giant kangaroos, up to three times larger than living roos, was able to walk on two feet.

    Today's kangaroos can only hop or use all fours, but their extinct cousins' bones suggest a two-legged gait.
