I question Walter White's claimed ethnicity. Nobody's ever found his black ancestors. I've sometimes wondered if he was of another ethnicity (Jewish?) and decided to try to pass as black to promote a certain political agenda within the black movement.

if i remember correctly, i believe that this is the guy who as a child had contemplated passing for white once he was old enough, but then something happened in the community where he lived that caused the white men in the community to rise up and attack. eventually they came for his family and he and his father had to defend the family home. it was this event that caused him to never consider passing again and to fight for the "black" cause. he said that it was that moment that defined race relations in america for him as a society that had deemed it acceptable that certain members who were human could be hunted like animals and that due to his ancestory [not phenotype, and even in spite of it, like someone mentioned] he was one of those animals. i think that because of this he should be able to claim that he is black if he wants to, because really it's the experience of being of black african descent in america that is at issue when it comes to claiming a black identity. that's why "black" americans come in so many different shades, hair textures and eye colors.

Here is the distribution of West Asian, SW Asian, and African in Europe. (Remember, having as little as 1% makes you Non-White according to the one drop rule)
