I strongly disagree. My roommate right now is a Negro and he does not exhibit any European traits or something to suggest that he's mixed with other races. The vast majority of Blacks I've met resemble members in that crowd of Haitians you've posted.

And I suspect that claims of European ancestry among American Negroes are exaggerated, considering the existence of Jim Crow and he isolation of Negroes from White ethnics in northern cities during the 20th century. The Americans did not engage in the mixing of races to a level comparable to that of the Spanish and Portuguese.

Have to agree with CV. Many blacks care for racial purity, actually. Why wouldn't they? It's human nature to have an interest in preserving your racial/cultural integrity. Think of if this way....if more blacks, asians, hispanics, etc, were like this, then racemixing would become less of an issue over time.
