In recent years good ol' Nic Cage had became a meme of his former self but this movie, though not original at all, was quite a pleasant surprise:

How did this film elude me for so long? It is an early Luc Besson film. He is best known for "The fifth element" and "La Femme Nikita". "Subway" has my favorite brooding beauty Isabelle Adjani and some recognizable french actors. Even Jean Reno has a small part. Best of all there is a young Christopher Lambert before he was the best thing in crappy movies,
Lots of fun in a post punk 80 way. A mafia wife decides to descend into the Subway to find some dwellers there and sets up a band to play concerts for free.

i don't like Besson,this guy have a to big head for what his produced,aside a few rare movies produced by europacorp his own prod coorp like TAKEN trilogy ,but you have 2 Besson movies worthy to watch Valerian and the City of a thousand Planets and Joan Of Arc





about NIKITA,the tv show remake with Maggie Q is huge, 10 ranks above the very bad original movie,the scenario is more developed with true bastards and kick-ass action even you will never reach the level of STRIKE BACK ,what you don't know STRIKE BACK you are shamefull
