Funny thing is, it doesn't freaking matter. I didn't say that these Turks nor Turkish people in general look Central Asian. I also didn't say anything about these Turks blending well in any Central Asian country (although I do believe that they would blend well in Turkmenistan). There is no need to start a 'Are Turks actual Turks' discussion in every thread about Turkish people.

So why such reaction to Baghatur's comment?

That's the point, smartass. People claim so many stupid illogical things about Turks. The 'dark MidEastern Turks are the true Turks, white looking Turks are the Turkified ones' was just an example of this stupidity.

In the thread Turks are closer to Europeans or Arabs, the majority went they were closer to Arabs, clearly showing they are not being objective and were motivated by ideology despite the genetics saying otherwise. The White looking Turks being Turkified is simplification of matter and an idiotic assertion.

Maybe the question itself wasn't about genetics but culture and ideology in general. Perhaps a significant portion of the coastal Turks are European thinking, but the vast majority isn't...
