Untrue. There are environmental factors, for one. For two, I'm paler than either parents. For three, if what you said were true, we'd eventually all be the same colour (at least, within each population). Five, there are a lot of genes governing skin colour. Hell, there are about 20 governing iris colour.

But if there white genes that affect her phenotype are methylated for some reason, an error in cell formation during meiosis or in the womb,then the black genes could be expressed instead, drastically changing her phenotype. And its not like recessive genes are ever bred out completely. They can be carried onto each generation by chance. Have you never witnessed how a Punett Square works. If the genes is recessive and both the parents are heterozygous then out of every child born each child has a 50% chance of inheriting the recessive gene and 25% chance of inheriting BOTH recessive genes for any particular gene. Thats how they can get carried down. And if the White genes are methylated of lose their function the black genes can be expressed changing the phenotype.
