The arabs, or at least the ancestors of what is now Palestinian arabs have been there a long time. To say that they have no claims to the land due to the fact that they're just "arabs" or not direct descendants of the ancient Philistines is shady. The European jews are very dissimilar to their ancient counterpart first and foremost and the other argument can also be debunked. Would you say it's okay for Poles to have their land taken by jews because they're just a tiny tribe of jews in a sea of slavs. The Poles can always go to Russia or Slovakia, can't they? It doesn't work like that. I don't really care for a bunch of inbred Arabs or the Jews, but I think the west, especially the USA ought to stay more out of that conflict or remain unbiased. The US is only making enemies shilling for Israel.

Mark Twain in the Holy Land
Mark Twain visited Israel in 1867, and published his impressions in Innocents Abroad. He described a desolate country – devoid of both vegetation and human population:
“….. A desolate country whose soil is rich enough, but is given over wholly to weeds… a silent mournful expanse…. a desolation…. we never saw a human being on the whole route…. hardly a tree or shrub anywhere. Even the olive tree and the cactus, those fast friends of a worthless soil, had almost deserted the country.”
He was amazed by the smallness of the city of Jerusalem:
“A fast walker could go outside the walls of Jerusalem and walk entirely around the city in an hour. I do not know how else to make one understand how small it is.”
And he described the Temple Mount thus:
“The mighty Mosque of Omar, and the paved court around it, occupy a fourth part of Jerusalem. They are upon Mount Moriah, where King Solomon’s Temple stood. This Mosque is the holiest place the Mohammedan knows, outside of Mecca. Up to within a year or two past, no christian could gain admission to it or its court for love or money. But the prohibition has been removed, and we entered freely for bucksheesh.”
Chapters 45-56 of Innocents Abroad can be read on Shechem.org.

Had a bit of a brainstorm now and I realised that German national socialists did or wanted to do a similar thing to the Slavs. They claimed that (or atleast Himmler and his compatriots) that Poland,Czechia,Slovakia and western Ukraine were ancient Germanic lands which have been overtaken by the Slavs (which is actually kind of true). What I'm trying to say is that you cannot make claims to land just because a your supposed ancestros lived there 2000 years ago and than left for whatever reason...but what is done is done.

Well that video is mostly based on fact, but it distorts some things too. Could be worse though, this pro-Israel video literally made me anti-Semitic just by watching it:
