I think and speak natively in Catalan.

I can speak perfect Spanish, as most Catalans do.

I can speak English better than your average Catalan.

Then I can speak one or ten more languages, depending on the day and on my mood.

My linguistic background is mostly bilingual in Catalan and Spanish, with a few old relatives who could speak perfect Basque, French, Occitan and Aragonese. (Pyrenean background)

English is my first language and French is my second. Romanian is my mother's first language, English is her second. French is my father's first language, English is his second, Italian is his third, and German is his fourth.

My paternal grandfather was a native anglophone who also spoke German (he was a scientist and back when he got his Chemistry degree you needed to speak German). The rest of my grandparents were/are unilingual anglophones.

My parents, my sibling and I are all anglophones who also all speak french.

On my father side, all of them had Galician as the native language but with equivalent Castilian skills.

On my mother side, all of them I known had Castilian as native language but I was told about a greatgreatmother unable to speak proper Castilian without Aragonese interferences.

Going backwards, Basque, Suebian and Latin speakers there were on my family tree for sure. And also undetermined Keltic, Pre-keltic (Lusitanian) and Iberic languages, even backwards: Protobasque, Indoeuropean, Protoindoeuropean...and not much more, I suppose...

Both of my parents are Lithuanians. Between each other we speak Lithuanian, though my parents are perfect at Russian. I'm trying to learn Russian as well, but my mother finds my accent in Russian to be very funny.. My sister is quite talented at languages, besides Lithuanian and English, she can also speak and understand German, Norwegian, Swedish, Japanese.

From my part I speak Spanish (native) and Galician (almost). I scientifically know some Aragonese. And I studied Latin (just one year) , Basque (one afternoon) and English (condemned to it thanks to globalization and modern world bloody competitiveness since I was 11 y.o.) .

Unformally I have more or less knowledge of Catalonian, French, Italian and Portuguese.
