Whiskey or Wine?

Strange topic. Its better to comparing whiskey with brandy and beer with wine. I prefer beer and wine to whiskey and brandy, and grappa, rakia, grape vodka to middle price brandy, prefer good grain moonshine/samogon to middle price whiskey.

Whiskey or Wine?

The question itself is wrong.

How can you compare one Alcoholic beverage such as Whiskey which is a spirit that generally has an alcohol content of at least 40 % Alcohol.

Then you have Wine which in general has an Alcohol content usually not more than 20 %.

Wine by itself is very diverse with all the different varieties and obviously in general most individuals in a drinking session can consume more wine
than they could compared to drinking the same amount of Whiskey.

I like both Whiskey and Wine, but they are 2 different things.

In general I will drink more Wine than I will Whiskey for obvious reasons, eg if I drink 4 large glasses of Wine with a nice dinner I will be just smiling nicely.
If I drank the same amount of Whiskey with a nice meal I will be pretty much drunk and probably the next day have a hangover.

Also usually Wine is cheaper than Whiskey in general, even though i dont drink very cheap wines its still usually cheaper than a good Whiskey,

So again these are 2 different drinks that i approach differently depending the occasion.

If I compare Wine and Beer, for me Im more likely to drink Wine in company of close family having a nice meal.

Im more likely to drink beer with friends particuliarly male friends and even in the case of friends visiting for lunch or dinner i will probably drink beer.

If Im drinking alone , Im less likely to drink beer but more likely to drink Wine or Whiskey or Vodka, and if my Uncle is visiting
then most definitely Palinka.
