I don't know if it is that simple but maybe I'm confused ? That particular image in question is from the BBC ? Sorry, I'm late to the conversation but I don't spend that much time on here anymore as it can be a giant waste of time. It might be a sophisticated form of disguised racism against the French, Italians or Romans, Germans, and native Britons or whatnot.

She does! But they seem outliers not representative of their nations. Or maybe the Afghan girl belongs to some tribe that has a large amount of Indo-european blood? There was a thread on TA about some Central Asian groups with unusual Euro features, but I don't remember where it is.

When the thread that unites a group of people to their origins, their history, their language etc. is broken, it is normal that this group of people seeks their own identity, just as it is normal that this group of people seeks their origins in glorious peoples, I think it is also like a sort of antidote to counteract a society, such as the American one, in which there 'there was so much racism, that over time, blacks learned to hate themselves, they ended up believing in the fairy tale of the good white man and the bad black man, the civilized white and the savage black, something truly very sad
