Look at this. What optimus is capable of doing dammm. Google CEO was saying that there is 50/50 chance of getting agi by 2028 .

In most developed countries. Lot of manufacturing already have been outsourced. Anyway
And with robot's and ai getting better and better . I can see them replacing most blue collar job in 10 to 20 year.

Maybe white collar job immigrants. Whatever is left of white collar job? Since ai is there too.

new Zealand seem to be restricting immigration already

    I personally see a future
Where most people don't work. And live on universal income

Certainly, AI, robots and automation will vastly reduce the need for a workforce in many occupations, whether native or foreign. But for now at least, such technology is far from infallible. You would still need humans to work in dentistry and medicine at an absolute minimum. (On the other hand, given the ubiquity of information, I can definitely see many lawyers and teachers losing their jobs, or at the very least seeing the nature of their professions drastically change).

All the same, immigration in the most generic sense of people moving from one country to another won't stop, and to the contrary improved transportation and technology will make it more common. The OP herself likes to talk about passport bros and sises, for example.
