The OP's question is clear, he does not ask for average French but any kind of French to see how Southern shifted they can be. The sample belongs to a Southern French so there's no misinformation provided.

Basques like french are not really "southern", they have more WHG and more Western shifted.
Some basques are close to central french with a more extreme western shifted because of their excess of WHG.

Also even some SouthWestern french like people from the Tarn are mostly close to central french.
Basque-like is already a thing among Gaulish: some gaulish without iberian admix are already basque shifted...


Whatever. This is my sample from southern france, French mostly (94%) from Basses-Alpes (provençal area) + 6% from the gard (southern France)
It must also be taken into account that gedmatch only has a few French samples, which biases the results.

Don't have any spaniard ancestors. His southern euro percentage is close to my central french friend 23andme results from the Berry (20% southern euro, aka french)
