Good luck. I guess its hard there, and i can imagine some being extremely crazy like your roomate there. I met crazy people in mental facility when i was there because of shizophrenic episodes.

He's normally cool, but this is fucked.

If I may ask, is he a recovering drug addict as well? Or is he at the facility because of other challenges?

An update. I talked to him some more, and he told me this is why he was in the program. He told me as well he really doesn't want to feel this way. I want to believe in his goodness. I just don't know what to feel now.

OK guys, if I'm totally honest, I'm drunk as shit right now. My roommate/"friend" (I don't even know if I should call him as such) said he would go on a shooting rampage against children if he was given enough money. He hates children because he lost his mother when he was 6 months old, and children trigger him because he never had a mother and apparently children do. It's just fucked, I'm just venting and trying to process this. He's schizophrenic, it's just fucked.

He's a fun guy, but he snitched on me for drinking when I brought us 2 bottles of wine and I finished off his bottle. He can be quite petty, I don't know if this ties into this though. He also lashes out when I'm dicking around with him at times. Again, don't know if this is significant.

Sobriety sounds like a requirement in that kind of living situation, so if you continue to drink, he may be the one getting a new roommate.

That said, if he has a conniption on Mother's Day since he lost his mom at a young age, give him that.
You need to get yourself back on the beam first and it will change the behavior of others towards you.
