Apparently we have this naturalized Portuguese player Camora.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camora_(footballer) I don't watch much football, so I didn't know. I usually watch these European and world cup tournaments though.

Edit: Apparently the Portuguese player has not played with the team since late 2023 and is not part of the team that will play in Germany. I guess the only known Romanian player with non-Romanian ancestry is Alibec. I read in a Romanian newspaper online that he is half Tatar. But there might be a few Gypsies or at least one.

I don't know if they called Chiricheș (Hungarian spelling Kerekes) for Euro, but he is fully a Catholic Csángó from Bacău county in Moldova region and he captained the national team in the past years.

I hope they call Racovițan, I like him a lot, he has a French mother but he counts Romanian to me - speaks the language, played in the domestic league, plays for the national team etc.

Ianis Hagi has Aromanian origins, like his dad. Florinel Coman is Roma from Brăila. Alibec is at least partially Tatar from Dobrudja.

anyway, the national team is much more homogenous now than in the past, when we had players (some very prominent ones) like Miodrag Belodedici, Iasmin Latovlevici, Srdjan Luchin (Romanian Serbs), Klein, Schumacher (Romanian Germans), László Bölöni, Tibor Selymes, Eric Bicfalvi (Romanian Hungarians), Bilașco (Rusyn/Ukrainian) or even Hagi (Aromanian) and even usually had more Roma in the team (Ilie Dumitrescu, Dănciulescu, Bănel Nicoliță) etc
