Which language should I focus on?

Either French or Portuguese, but I lean toward French. French is huge in international business, especially in Europe, Africa, and parts of Canada. It's also an official language in many global organizations. On the other hand, Portuguese could be very valuable if you're particularly interested in Brazil's market, given its large and growing economy.

I would consider one or the other depending on what type of client you are most likely to find where you work.

If it is more common to receive French tourism, improve your French, if not any of the others.

Although you can also consider improving the least common among them, which would be the Romanian one, this way you will have less competition and practically the exclusiveness of tourists from that origin.

French has about 310.000.000 speakers worldwide, and Portuguese has 260.000.000, compared to only 25.000.000 speakers of Romanian.

By the way, what about Spanish? It has 560.000.000 speakers worldwide. Have you considered learning Spanish, or do you already speak it?

That being said, if you like Romanian a lot, it's still okay to learn it. Just know you most likely won't get to use it as often, unless you're planning to move to Romania, or have Romanian friends in the US.

I already speak Italian and Spanish. So far it seems like it's between French and Portuguese.
