In the last several years Gypsies few times stole copper wires on the railway between Belgrade and Novi Sad. They cut the copper rope with scissors and a grinder on so called fixed points of the contact network which caused that fast train 'Soko' slowed down and stopped moving. It could happen that the train derails and dozens of passengers die or be injured because of fucking Gypsy thieves.

I never see Gypsies being mistreated or harassed by Romanians. It's the other way around, at least generally speaking. How were Gypsies mistreated by Hungarian low class people and how often did you even just heard that?

They are not necessarily half-gypsies. Budapest is a pretty multicultural place, we have turkish, albanian or even mena locals and their (often mixed) kids were born here. Or dont forget the huge jewish population who have brown middle eastern origin. Tons of budapesters have partly jewish ancestry. Another example is Viktor Orban, in young age his face was a little bit similar to gypsies but there is no prof that Orban has any gypsy ancestry.

According to Wiki on the census in 2011. almost 302.000 people in Budapest (17.5%) did not declare their ethnicity. It is huge number/percentage.

Those people you mention wouldn't speak perfect Hungarian because they are relatively recent immigrants.

It's true there is really many Jewish and Jewish mixed people in Budapest, but I generally know how Jewish people look and wouldn't confuse them for mixed Gypsies, I think.
