That is the second atypical light Middle Eastern girl you have posted in 48 hours... Anyway, I'd say she is actually pretty pan-European in appearance - unlike most Euro-leaning Turks, she would pass beyond just Med and Balkan countries.

The other girl I posted has Levantine features though, just atypical coloring. This girl actually looks "Slavic" to me.

Anyway there is Balkan and Slavic admixture in some Turks, no?

Well, true. But she is still very much among the lightest 5-10% or so of Turks.

Of the few Turks I have met in person, a couple are as light as her and then the others are VERY dark, like Iraqi dark.

Maybe can pass here (there are Turks who can, believe it or not) but I can't judge it from one picture.

looks Balkan. Interesting. I have seen very few like this. I would say she passes well in Bulgaria, Croatia, Serbia, etc. Even Slovenia maybe. Odd huh? Really looks Bulgarian though, for some reason.

Her name is İlke Albayrak. She could be Turkish of Albanian origin, linked to Shkreli tribe (Shkrel, Malėsi e Madhe, Shkodėr County, northwestern Albania).

LOL, "Albayrak" is a very common surname in Turkey meaning "red flag" in Turkish.

Read this, is it completely wrong?

"Shkreli and the Slavic version Škrijelj (Serbian: Шкријељ) is a Northern Albanian tribe and geographical region of Malėsia. (...)

Today, people bearing the surname Škrijelj live in the following locations:

(...)

Turkey: Istanbul, Izmit, Izmir and Sakarya (their surnames are changed into Albayrak, Bayrak, Büyükbayrak, Esen (Šemsović), Sancak, Yener and Yenibayrak)."

That some Albanians adopted Turkish surnames doesn't mean all people with those surnames are Albanian. I can think of quite a few Albayraks who have nothing to do with Albania off the top of my head.

Thanks, I understand what you mean. Also in Italy Arbereshe adopted Italian surnames in many cases.

Anyway she really looks Balkan.

There are too many Turks with that surname so it's hard to draw the conclusion that "she is of X origin" just by looking her surname.

She looks very circassian/caucasuse a Kavkazian turk or could also b like, many would say that the mayor of Istanbul is of Balkan origin or something but, in fact, he's a Turk from the Caucasus.
