Her height, 4ft 11, is four centimetres shorter than the average height for a medieval woman in this graveyard population, which is on average 5ft 1 – in turn shorter than the UK average of 5ft 2.5.

Kinda looks like Jessalyn Gilsig (whom I hate).

Bronze Age survivor. Dinaric-Borreby basically.

Brunn + Celtic Nordid influence, my opinion.

Dinaric + Sub-Nordid.

Nice nose. Probably would be atypical in modern day Scotland?

These people look deformed probably from lack of nutrition and dehydration like most peasants back then.

Just shows how stupid this anthro-stuff is.

Nah, The Scots average is Kelto-brunn of that shape. That nose is fine. I think it is the graphic itself that makes it look a bit stuck on. From the side it looks typical.

Women didn't have the cosmetics of the 21st century, I doubt Leith was poor in comparison to other areas of Scotland. The Lothians have one of the better areas for agriculture, plus near the port for fishing. Rather than in the old town of Edinburgh itself.

She has the same nose James McAvoy has. It's quite typical for a Scott indeed.

It seems, that in Northern Europe noses get more prominent, when you from East to West, but in the South it's the opposite.

Kelto-Brünn, but that cannot be right, aye? Eye distance too wee and too brachycephalic.

Norid (Dinarid+Nordid) with Alpinid admix.

Those old anthropology types, did say Alpine influence was to be found in East Scotland.

mainly looked like this..

FIG. 1 (3 views). A Scotsman from Aberdeen, with blue eyes and dark brown hair. This brachycephalic Aberdonian is Alpine in head form and in most facial features; the length of the face and of the nose, however, are aberrant and point to non-Alpine influences. The predominant Alpine element present in this individual is presumably that which entered Scotland from the Continent during the Bronze Age with the Short Cist People. Other brachycephalic Scotsmen sometimes show Borreby features.http://www.theapricity.com/snpa/bilder/troe131.jpg

She looks like a chick I'd meet on a kibbutz. People who had problems on the Continent sometimes went to Little Britain and Scotland from there.

It's a mistake to imagine the Middle Ages were totally isolated.

Dinarid-Borreby looks about right. Whether it's "Bronze Age survivor" or Coon's "Mediterranean reemergence" or just someone who left France/Bohemia/etc doesn't make a difference from a phenotype standpoint.

Borreby with Norid admixture. Probably descended from the Anglian+Brythonnic people. Nothing special about her. Her profile reminds me of Steffi Graff with darker hair, that's it.
