Nordic-CM.
Face too square for anything pre-500 AD.
Agreed. By the way, what region is she from? I am guessing Lombardy but the Lombards were all over the place, so I suppose it could be somewhere else.

What do you mean? Square faces were just as common in Europe back then. Usually from Palaeolithic CM/Faelid influence.

Not really, at least not in the south.
"Square-faced" was something Strabo, who wrote in 64 AD, attributed to Celts. Plus good luck finding any faces like that in classical art

Square face is attributed from meat eating without processed carbs, thus strengthening of the mandible.
Neolithic influence largely weakened our jaws.

Thanks. How common is her type in Lombardy? I imagine that she still looks relatively exotic, but I could be wrong.

She probably ate hard food during childhood, her parents didnt allow her to eat soft foods like pasta and other processed foods. Also, she did not mouth breathe.
Explains her strong jaw.

Exercise does not influence bone growth much, and with her it's clear her mandible bone is what makes her jaw big (and sharp) and not the muscles around it, it's genetic. Random fact: I grew up on rice, potatoes, bread and cheese and I still have a jaw bigger than 99% of TA members.

She looks Sub-Nordid to me.
That would imply Alpinoid admixture which gives out softer, puffier cheeks of no squared form. She lacks that.

Probaly a Germanic import Nordo-CM type although these types would have been common all over northern Italy in pre-Roman times.
