Any thoughts on where she can pass?

I think she can pass in Greece and in other Balkan countries, Italy, central Europe, Iberia, France, Belgium and British Islands. She has a kind of Pan-southern/central/western European look.

I don't think she would fit in northern Germany, Netherlands, Scandinavia, or in Eastern Europe (In Slavic-proper countries, outside of Greece and other Balkan countries).

It's not modified

I just made an assumption about it cause it seems to be derived from another language

No need to project us what you read about forceful assimilation and other crap from nationalistic forums

What? I don't understand why you sound so nervousness. I saw your post after I wrote mine. And please I don't read anything about forceful assimilation, that is a fact. Being a southern myself I have a lot of family and acquaintance that migrated in Greece, and all of them, and I mean ALL were " forced" to change their name to Greeks and religion to Orthodox. Which is fine, because they needed work. I am sorry but this is common knowledge now. Please let's not continue that, because this is not the original topic for. Thank you!

It's a fact only if you browse nationalistic forums full of thick head Dinaroids

You are talking about modern migration here

And no, none force them to change religion and adopt Greek names

If they felt as underdogs for being Muslim is not our fault.

Re-christianizing Europe is a good thing after all

Her traits are very Greek . Large eyes, full lips and curly hair.

Her surname is very rare, but it could easily derive from a nickname and later adopted in surname. We have 4 like this in my mother's side.
(because there are villages with many people with the same surname, so they had a nickname and later adopted as surname)

Surname doesn't appear there in 11888 and seems far more trustful than this site concerning my known names.

http://www.11888.gr/list-names?_wpType=name&_wpName=%CE%BC%CF%80%CE%B1%CE%BA%CE%BB%CE%B5%CF%83 %CE%B7&_pc=NzEuMjI1NzZARGFzT1RFLjcuMjY0LjBAZGFzZnNxdWVyeT Eub3RlLmdy&_sd=1317435585&page=1

In Lithoksou's site seems to exist with minimum frequencies around the area but not in Eupalion.

Can't find any mention of a Baklesis Arvanite.

I don't dig up Albenian names to play smart on the internet but I'm sure I will find a fair share on the most conservative Christian Albanians with some Turkish-related root.

Bakalli is a loanword from Turkish(bakkal) and ultimately Arabic in origin.

It indicates occupation,nuff said.

Sure.Pointing out that there is a fair share Araboturkish influence in most places. Nothing to play smart with, a Greek friend which family is originally from the north east Turkey told me about the surnames. His surname ends with oglou too. He is the sweets guy ever. And I know Karamanlis. Also Kara means Black in Turkish, Arabic language and Oglu from Turkish mean Son. I am explaining to you just to be fair, otherwise there is no need.

An Albanian or a Greek with a Turkish name aren't necessarily of Turkish descent. Most African Americans have Anglo names, does it mean they're white?
