I guess somewhere in Caucasus or in Central Asia they should fit well. But for Crimea it is doubtfull, because it is a russian majority region.

I refer to Tatars of Crimea. It's like Cheboksary in Chuvashia, there are many Russians there but I specifically refer to the Chuvashes.

Mostly North-Caucasian Turks in the addition of Central Asian Turks from specific Turk republics like Tatarstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Chuvashia, Bashkortistan.

Best fit: Baku, Azerbaijan

Then come Karchaysk, Sevastopol (Crimean Tatars), Kardzhaly (Turks of Bulgaria) and Lefkosia.

As a group they don't fit in Central Asian countries, though many of them could pass in Ashgabat or Tashkent individually.

Cypriots

By Lefkosia, it meant only North Cyprus (Turks) not the Hellenized Semites scoring SSA from south. Btw we must also remind that South/Greek Cyprus was shelter for many defeated Communist Greeks after Greek civil wars, many of them from Greek Macedonia etc. So there was also recent influx of real Greeks to South Cyprus but still small minority.

Communists in Cyprus? What are you smoking? Communists were exiled as far as Kazachstan but they all returned back. Besides what is wrong Greeks mixing with Cypriots? They have been mixing with Greeks since like forever.

I still can distinguish Greek Cypriots from other ethnicities. 2/3 of them look like Greek islanders just darker, 1/3 of them look Lebanese, no wonder there are some 200 Maronite villages in Cyprus.

What % of Greek Cypriots can pass in Greece?

I am mostly familiar with Cypriot celebrities like Xatzigiannis, Vissi..one of my favourite actors is Cypriot (Moustakas).

I have met Cypriots in Greece that I couldn't tell whether they were Greeks or not...on the other hand I ve seen some Cypriots look totally gypsy like they are Egyptian admixted or something.

Kardzhaly and Lefkosia are Turkish majority cities in both Bulgaria and Cyprus. These OP Turks don't look like Bulgarians but strong overlap with Turks from there since Turkish communities in Cyprus and Bulgaria ultimately are a diaspora of Turks from Turkey.

Unsurprisingly they look like Syrians.

According to Herodotus Turkey was populated by Syrians, 'white Syrians' as he called them.

So Turks are a mix of predominantly Syrians, Medes, Persians, and Greeks (whatever remained.)

Greeks have been displaced, genocided, and were ethnically cleansed to Greece, while the non Greeks remained.

Minimal levels of genetic or pheno overlap with Syrians. Syrians are high Natufian (like Greeks) and they also score high S-W Asian unlike Turks, Levantines have more overlap with Greeks than with Turks. Some Greek populations are like 100% Levantine such as Cypriots and southern Islanders imo whereas Greek mainlanders are very Balkan (Albanian). Turks are genetically apart from both Greeks and Syrians and when you mix both Syrians and Greeks you get some sorts of Greeks and not Turks. That is fact

The reason you don't plot with Syrians is because some Turks score significant Turkic admixture and some Syrians significant arabian admixture.

Minimum level of phenotype overlap? they look strikingly Syrian to me. (With non arabid admixture)
