I'm having trouble classifying him based off of this artwork..

Thracian with a lot of Dinarid features.

He isn't Turk Bolghar (for which Bulgarian nation is named after).

Yeah, he really doesn't look like a Bulgar but mainly because the Bulgars were a minority in the country comparing with the Thracians and Slavs inhabiting the region and were essentially just guards and army for the large Slavic/Thracian populace who focused more on farming rather than fighting. Thanks!
