Did Eartha Kitt look biracial, or fully "black American"?

I do not understand why people think she looked fully black... to me, it is obvious she was half white.

My guess is she is roughly half African, because southern blacks in her era were more African than today. Her mother was likely close to full African and her father was white.

In her youngerdays , she looked to have fit within the African american phenotype range. I suppose her phenotype may have been hacked and tipped as she got older. I doubt people would view her as "mixed" in places like Canada or America.

As far as her passing in Africa? I do not know the variation of phenotypes within the continent.
