I came here because i was in another forum to do with ethnicities and i realise that levants think that they are as white as italians LOL.
The only exception is turkey where in the north of turkey there are mixed european people but the rest of the levant is overwhelmingly brown.

I know they are an overwhelmingly brown nation but everytime i see some one post something about levantines they get excited when they see an atypical actor who looks italian. When in reality most levants look like this:

True not only TA almost any anthropology forum which is mainly flooded with levants will conclude that levants can pass for italians LOL what a joke. They look 5 times closer to iranians and pakistanis and saudis than they do to us white people.

Another thing i realise is their desperation to seperate themselves from darker arabs when those darker arabas can also have light skinned people.

I have seen Italians in the USA get more dark than Africans, when they are in the sun. When I would go to Chicago's Oak St. beach
there was always older Italian guys playing checkers, they were dam near black.

that's the thing, people often forget we can indeed get quite some tan. but even so , of those Group pictures of Levantines, maybe only 7 to 10 %
could pass with no problem as an italian. and by italian i mean specifically as a tanned Sicilian or Calbrese and that's it.

There is a sub set of Italian Americans that can get super dark. Also saw this IA dude at my gym. He was with a black girl (semi dark) and he was darker than her not joking. My Syrian and Lebanese friends are a slight shade darker than me, but not much.

The problem is they make it out as if lebanese people look like italians, which makes italians look as if they are close to middle easterns. Yes maybe 7 percent could pass for a tanned sicilian italian but probably 2 percent could pass if u base it on facial features.

c'mon i mean, given that tan is different from base skin colour, but it is indeed true that italians can get quite tanned.
and btw i'm underliying the fact that a lot of middle easteners will cherrypick photos of tanned italians just to show their "similarities" with italians .

just one of the most famous examples; it's Carlo Conti, a italian TV host that quite literally became a meme because of his tan. he is for sure blacker than some Afroamericans here if not at the same level.

but u can clearly see his reddish complexion. No doubt that Italians can tan but let's be honest Italians that dark are incredibly atypical. Where as levant's can have mamy triracial looking people and even mulattos. In real life they feel closer and look closer to Arabs Pakis and Iranians. What's up with levant's wanting to look Italian? Sure, individually very few can pass for tanned Sicilians but the vast majority are brown as u can see in the photos.
