They have been classified as East Baltic in this book.
How would you classify them based on a racial classification made by Carleton S. Coon?

As usual in many of these sets, they are different as fuck due to the lack of convergence in how some anthropologists used terms.
1: Very deep-set Cro-Magnon eyes but in overall a gracilized type. CM-Hallstatt Nordic mix.
2: Lack of a brow bone, weak chin. Give him a broader and higher forehead and prominent occiput, and could pass as Pontid. Has a strongly Mediterranean character but brachycephalized. Mediterranean-Alpine combination.
3: CM (Phalian)/Keltic Nordid intermediate. Seems to have larger dimensions than Keltic Nordid proper. Similar Kelto-Brunn type also exists.
4: Similar to 1 but with less prominent occiput. Borreby-Nordic mix.
5: Borreby. A very good example.

Thanks for the detailed review.
Could you classify some other Irishmen from the same book?

Hooton believed that Baltic was a stand-alone type with no Mongoloid influences.
His criteria are Blondness, Brachycefaly (head not rounded as in Alpines) Convex upper lip (like Coon’s Neo Danubian).

These Irish satisfy his criteria of Brachycefaly+ blindness. In other systems they could probably pass as Norics (#3) or general Alpine-Norid mixes.
Hooton was critical of Coon’s Bruenn theory.
