Not incorrect, Cappadocian was Coon's nod towards the continental anthropologist's Orientalid. For some reason American anthropologists just couldn't let go off the idea that the Mediterranean race spreads from Ireland to India. According to them, Arabs were the "purest" Meds.

As far as I know, purest Med type is Paleo Sardinian phenotype, which is prominent in Sardinia but also found in Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Greece and Turkey.

Well, I don't know how much Neolithic farmer DNA the Arabs have. Neolithic farmers in Europe are always mixed with Mesolithic Europeans, so the Med types of today are already altered from the Proto-Med type (who could have looked Paleo-Sardinian/Berid, early Med skeletons aren't as gracile as "modern day Med proper").
