Is atlanto-med a pure type or is it like gracile-med+CM or gracile-med+nordid or something, or no?

Thread about Atlanto-meds with examples.

It is difficult to distinguish the two phenotypes. I think the presence/absence of robustness is the only feature that sets them apart.

A lot of theories out there. In my opinion, it is pretty clearly a Mediterranean with Nordic tendencies.

i think it's a slightly North shifted and slighlty gracilized version of eurafricanid

Even old-school anthropologists didn't know what it was. Time to abandon this stupid term among others.

A taller, robuster Gracile Med essentially. Coon included all tall-statured Mediterranids in the Atlanto-Mediterranid category.

or is it like gracile-med+CM
This is the best explanation. Moreover considering paleoDNA data

By the late Neolithic time, admixture of CM is getting more. But, of course , that was not Upper Paleolithic CM types, rather their late and very reduced varieties, like Mechtoid maybe

I also always though they where just meds with some nordid influence

How is it possible? When some Nordids came into first contact with European Neolithic, Atlanto-Meds existed already a couple of thousands years

Interesting, can you show sources?

Coone wrote about it. This type associated with Megalithic and the early Near Eastern cultures, no later than 5 millennium BC. First Nordids in Europe it's the Corded Ware culture 2900 BC

Robust Mediterranid.

Just naturally robust med or did it got it's robustness from CM or nordid admix?

I do not think so, because Atlanto Mediterranid phenotype is more ancient than Nordid and Gracile Mediterranid types. Most probably, it is a phenotype that came from Early Neolithic Farmers.

No, before Neolithic farmers.
