Can any pass as Mulatto/Mulatta?

Yes, the last woman on OP passes as mulatta. But, even so she has european traits, just look at her face shape. SSA genes are stronger than aboriginal according to what I have seen on TA.

They can lose their traits within a couple of generations.

This is a good picture to see that. Aboriginals are Australo-Melanesians so they are different genetically than SSAs.

Very interesting. Are interacial marriages between whites and aboriginals that common?

Yes. The majority are mixed. Very rare to see full bloods unless they have come down for medical treatment. I've seen some that don't speak English but as I said they are rare. There are many people that you would never guess have Aboriginal blood.

Are theren't protected territories on Australia to aboriginals live in? Usually, taking the natives people from Brazil as example, those original people which keep living on their protected territories are genetically more "pure".

They’re all definitely very mixed. Many can’t be more than 1/4

This is one of Australia's most respected and well known journalists Ray Martin. He has hosted a lot of current affairs programs. He has Aboriginal ancestry. It was his great, great grandmother but she was fully Indigenous. The rest of his ancestry is Irish.

Yes they have loads of land that is held by Aboriginal communities. If you attend any Government run courses or functions they will give "An Acknowledgement of Country" which acknowledges Aboriginals as the traditional owners of the land. It is something like this "We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of country throughout Australia and recognise their continuing connection to land, waters and culture. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging."

So many have light eyes, which is less common for ssa-white mixed people. Do abos have some autochthonous genes for light eyes?

Perhaps a factor is that White-Abo mixes are mostly of partial British descent, whereas White-SSA mixes are very often descended from darker European ethnic groups? Just saying...

I am not sure about eye colour, but I have seen some seemingly pure blooded looking Aboriginals with blonde hair.

Thats common, peaks in Solomon Islands.

Its also a completely different gene to what Europeans have for Blondism. I wonder what it would look like if you combined euro genes + their genes for this trait? Would you get a super blondoid?

I did find some stuff about. As I have seen, Euro-SSA mixed children tend to look more african, but there are exceptions (very rare, as this basic text says): https://www.news24.com/Drum/Archive/white-baby-born-to-black-mom-20170728.

But, this is the reality: https://askgramps.org/if-one-is-of-mixed-race-who-do-they-marry/

No not light eyes but they do have blond and lighter hair. The reason why so many have light eyes is that the whites they are mixing with are majority light eyed.

Here's an Aboriginal boy with light hair. When some that are mixed they just have normal blond hair. It's not any different looking than other people or that white-blond hair.

This is a guy from the outback town of Meekatharra. He is Aboriginal but has obvious European admixture as well.

I’m from a remote town in Western Australia called Meekatharra, where the Yamatji tribe – my tribe – are from. This tribe in particular stretches from Geraldton on the West Australian coast all the way to Meekatharra which is a good 800 kilometres inland.

Maybe because Europeans are closer to Aboriginals than SSA genetically.

Very marginal difference in closeness.

They have higher instances of lighter eyes because their white side comes from NW Europe. I actually see a lot of quarter-Euro mulattoes here in the South with light eyes and hair. Aboriginal genes, for whatever reason, balance a lot better with Euro genes than West African. I think it may have to do with the fact that they have Neanderthal like we do while W. Africans have some archaic we don't. But that's just me throwing things out there. I posted an example of someone who is 1/8 Aboriginal who can easily pass as white. This is uncommon with white/west african mixes.
