There was a guy who analyzed hundereds of Facebook profile from Indian Kashmir told this, but many people on Pak defence make up wierd things.I think there are some lighter pigmented famous kashmiri Hindus in India as well.

Lol, that was the first thing my ex said. "We're proper Kashmiri, not like the British Mirpuris!".

I thought it was just because of the bad reputation of British Pakistanis, but now I see it has more substance to it.

I've seen of Northern South Asian origin that had pale skin and hazel/green eyes, but their facial features looked very Indian. Salman seems to be in the same boat. His skin is pale, but his facial features look typical Indian. I wouldn't say that Salman's look is super common in India (though you could probably find some lookalikes in the Northern regions), but given how the region has over 1 billion people, genetic diversity shouldn't be a surprise.

Quite a physical contrast with one of his ex-wives, Padma Lakshmi, from Southern India and of Tamil background.
