For the first time ever today I found more than one "white" option on a race form :thumb001:

Something tells me that White Scottish, Welsh and Irish might get picked before White English.
I remember reading some articles about how English in the UK were not given jobs because they would rather give them to Irish, Welsh, etc.
That's my first thought.

My question is why should they care? Shouldn't they pick the best applicant?

WHITE ENGLISH
It looks so divine. No more scribbling in the 'other' box.
Well done Aberdeen University :thumb001:
Hehe when I saw the thread title I thought it was about something else. :D

WHITE ENGLISH
It does imply the existence of other-coloured 'English', though, as though the English who've been here for 1500 years are equal to the Ian Wrights of the world.

It's a step in the right direction nonetheless, however much it may dent the ethnic English reality.

Hmm, let me look in my wordhoard; the 4-letter section, there should be a few things suitable there...

Really first time ever? When I was in the UK (England) I remember the doctor's form having a "White, Other" option.

That's exactly what I mean this time there is actually a choice of what type of white not just other.

I meant the form had "White Other: Specify" in addition to the "White British" (I unfortunately don't remember clearly if it was that or "White English") :p.

I've not seen one with that on, the only choices I normally get are "White"

Would it be worthwhile just boycotting this stuff, and getting everyone to just write 'Black - Australian Aborigine'?
Or would that just result in the profusion of road signs and notices in Wallagallaballabongish?

Always check "Black". If they say you are not "Black" claim that they are being "racist".
