What is origin of Gujjars? Many writers suggest about many prominent castes (Rajputs, Kunbi/Patels of Gujarat, Nagar and Karhade Brahmans, Kayastha and Bania) as being descended from Gujjars.

gujjars say they came from georgia , from my experience there are two types of gujjars in Pakistan , one are from north like swat and neelum valley , they often time have a hindukush look to them, those from central Punjab look more like mainland punjabis.

these are from swat

Georgian origin of Gujjars is a very doubtful. British colonial writers consider them as descendants of White Huns (Yuechi-Ephthalites), because they appeared after White Hun invasions. On other hand Indian historians claims Gujjars of being descended from Yadavas (Vedic Aryan nomad tribe), which is supported by their language (derived from Shuraseni prakrit) and clan names similar to those of Jats.

joking aside , yadavs are under rated , if they are vedic tribe yadu then , definitely they can be gujjars, sindh of paksitan have lot of yadavs , gujjars are actually lot older then jats , mentioned in very ancient times but jats are never mentioned anywhere

looks wise each region have their own specific look due tointer migling and shard genome cluster (with visible differences too)

gujjar here in south punjab look lit bit different then jats

here , host of video is gujjar and oldman is jutt
