is he too swarthy for Swede?
No. Easily pass as Swede ofcourse, but I think Swedes have slightly more eastern influence than Norwegians, who are closer to Brits a little bit.

Aussies looks more cromagnoid a lot of times imo. Not always 100% true, but the ones I have met and seen via TV movies etc do.

There is some truth in that. That maybe partly diet/lifestyle, partly the heavy Irish/Scottish component in Aussies.

Yea could be many factors especially the Irish/Scottish colonization like you said, very common in Texans and other Southern U.S.A populations too, I am a good example myself. When I think of Aussies the Irish and then later the English come to mind, people forget most of the English colonists came in large numbers much later, I remember reading that most the Anglo-Aussies in WW2 had British parents or grandparents. Can't recall where though.

English, Scottish and Irish all came in large numbers from the beginning, with English being the largest element. Many Brits (mostly English) have also come since WWII (Ten Pound Poms), my mum being one. Typical Aussies just look like a mixture of English and Insular Celts, which is usually what they are.
Norb's look is more specifically English, and therefore slightly less common amongst typical Australians.

They do seem to have some defined brow ridge or deep set eyes thing, or at least that is how they are portrayed to us in film/tv.
