Yeah, it is a pseudoscience and anyone that thinks otherwise... is just wrong lmao, it is indeed a fact. People just naturally enjoy judging phenotypes and putting them through the stereotypical example of that given ethnicity. When people are given the ethnicity, rather than not, you see the difference in guesses. It is how our brains interpret information. Let me explain: FOR INSTANCE, If someone says they are a quarter amerindian and the rest is fully euro and that person turns out to look completely indistinguishable from other euros seen before... it isn't uncommon for someone- if given the amerinidan information- to say they see the Amerindian influence from their genetics. That's just one example among many possible.

In other words, people are vulnerable to selection and confirmation biases when it comes to judging phenotypes and weighing what information they are given.
