More Russian/Ukranian looking than Romanians, i think they pass anywhere between Hungary and central Russia.

Gorid dominates, with minor but visible presence of Dinarids. Visible lack of Pontids compared to younger generations similar like in west Balkan countries.

Look similar to elders actually, I see no Pontids here either, they are little to none. Only difference is less dinaric features compared to older peasants.

I came to conclusion Gorid type may have a peak frequency in central and northern Moldova, also parts of west Ukraine and eastern Slovakia.

Sergei Korolev, the famous Soviet rocket engineer of Ukrainian origin, I think is the best example of Gorid (East Euro Alpine type).

there are many Gorids in Eastern half of Romania as well, and extending into Bulgaria up to Greece. In Romania and Bulgaria they look a little different because there's much less East Slavic influence.

Multiracial mongrels in other words. Ok.

Beautiful people. I'm most similar to them (genetically) and more or less phenotype-wise.

Some of them can pass as Hungarians but the majority of them really look just Eastern European, more similar to Ukrainians.

Nisporeni is one of the most Moldovan/Romanian districts in the country actually. They could probably be considered the benchmark for the old Moldovan/Romanian look between Prut and Dniester.

Mixed folk with East Slavs are mostly concentrated North from Balti and in select villages along the Southern border with Ukraine, where it becomes very unambigously clear just from surnames alone. There are also relatively recent colonies from Russian Empire and Soviet times, like a couple of villages in Hincesti near the border with Romania among others.
There are ethnic villages sprinkled throughout of course, but they are not so numerous as to make a significant difference at group/district level. It mainly boils down to the history of each person's family. That's why one can find results from the same district that are very different from one another.
Also Transnistria is obviously mixed and historically isolated by Dniester, and only in the past 80 years it came within our borders. I have only one Moldovan result from Transnistria that looks at the more Eastern/Northern end, but still within the usual range for Moldovans, but I expect that a lot of them can be virtually identical to Ukrainians, due to how the territory was always part of Ukraine and dominated by Ukrainian ethnics from all sides.

"Moldovan" as a category makes it to ambiguous to make any sound judgement. Someone half Russian, half Romanian or even fully Russian/ Ukrainian might identify as Moldovan. They should have had only Romanian as a category, defining it as having ancestors that only spoke Romanian.

In Moldova they are synonyms. Romanian is like the more modern way to say Moldovan, especially in urban environments. It's not a name that was popular historically, but a growing trend from the 2000s+ mostly. It will be higher at the next census, and that doesn't come from immigration from Romania for example. The census indeed doesn't account for mixed "race", but that would make it too complicated. People who are mixed usually identify with only the culturally dominant part. In any case, that wouldn't have impacted Nisporeni, as it is mostly rural and indeed about 99% Moldovan/Romanian.
