Aralid has about 75% of east asian influence, gobid 85% and yet they differ by a large margin.

Difference is that they originate from different sources.
Aralid descends from ancient proto Iranic tribes from a higher percentage than gobid.
Gobid is closer to Mongolians.

Informative answer, are you a professor?
I have another question: is the difference between gobid and tungid marginal compared to the one between aralid and gobid?
Mongolian tungid is ~90% east asian afaik.

AFAIK Gobid is a Tungid subtype whereas Aralid is a mix of Tungid and Turanid.

Gobid is mostly associated with Mongolians and Aralid is most common amongst Kazakhs.

Mongolians are predominantly East Asian; Kazakhs are Central Asian Turkics and are quite distinct from other East Asians.

Thanks for the informative answer.
It's nice to have a member who is able to discern differences among Mongolian and Kazakh phenotypes.
There's a Kaxakh member on this forum but, unfortunately, he's not active since months.

Kazakhs were originally Scythian (Iranian) in appearance. Starting in the Iron Age (~2,500 years ago), westward expanding Turks began inputting Northeast Asian admixture into the Kazakh genes. This continued for centuries with the Mongol invasion in the Middle Ages being the last layer of 'easternization' of the Kazakh steppes.

Kazakhs are still much more 'western-shifted' toward Northeast Europeans, like Slavic and Finno-Ugric peoples, than the Mongols are. Western Eurasian ancestry in Kazakhs ranges from ~30% to ~40%, whereas it is ~15% in Mongols.

1) Aralids are more North European and South/West Asian admixed.
2) Gobids usually lived in deserts whereas Aralids in forests.
