I don't necessarily agree with the commonly touted juxtaposition between the "lanky" Indo-European phenotype and the "broad" Hunter Gatherer phenotype on these forums. The amount of WHG (cromagnon) DNA in Northwestern Europeans is much smaller than it is in Northeastern Europe, yet the so-called ""UP phenotypes" are more common in Northwestern Europe. We know that massive faces - like what we see in """cromagnids""" - were a trait of Yamnaya and many Corded Ware individuals, and an Estonian DNA study found that whilst height correlated with both Yamnaya and WHG DNA broad waists and hips were even more closely correlated to Yamnaya DNA than they were to WHG DNA

Considering our understanding of modern genetic data, is it really sensible to classify many these robustiform types of Europe as "Cromagnid" when it seems much more likely that their physique is Indo-European in origin?

Also interesting to note, the Siberian uralo-mongoloid DNA component correlates with shorter height and mass, darker features, alcohol intolerance and social awkwardness, but less depression and higher caffeine tolerance, and earlier puberty in girls. Feels like some biases are being confirmed...

I dont think Finns, Estonians and Northern Russians would agree on that.
