Both look pretty standard Bengali to me. 2nd more than the 1st, but I've seen people who look like the 1st quite a bit. 2nd is also quite common. It's just the 14% Tibeto-Burman we have plus the idk 12-14% Steppe showing itself. That and people staying indoors more lol. Neither of them look Euro or Pashtun or whatever.

I've seen plenty of Bongs who look exactly like him. He certainly doesn't look white/euro passing like some user said. Also, Bangladesh is a hot af, and very very sunny equatorial country, a lot of it is just sun damage tbh

even by their facial features, they dont look like him. In west most of them dont look like him. Not euro looking, but certainly not bengali looking. Even most pakistanis dont look like him in the west. Looks way more like an afghan tajik or pashtun.

To me, he looks Bengali looking because I've seen plenty of middle aged Bengali uncles who resembled him appearance wise. You can disagree, that's fine.

Well we are literally brown people lol ofc we look brown, dude. Tho it says you're in England and 95% of those dudes are from this region called Sylhet so they're not really representative, they're probably just one side of it, those Sylhetis are probably on the darker end of the spectrum maybe idk

There might be some who look very different from common Bangladeshis but probably they are descended from foreign origin Muslim settlers in the past. Like the guy I mentioned in my other post who looked totally west European, but it was written his ancestors were Afghan settlers.

There might possibly also be some others who are mixed with Europeans in the past. Europeans were settled longest in Bengal. In the beginning it was common for East India company soldiers to take a local "wife" in Bengal as soon as they arrived. Perhaps they might have left a good number of descendants in Bengal who are mixed into the locals?

These two cases, foreign settled Muslims and those mixed with Europeans, might account for most of your "tons and tons".

East Bengal does not share the same history. Most of the dealings between English/whatever settlers occurred in West Bengal, namely in Kolkata to be specific and it was between Hindus mainly. Muslims rarely,if ever.

Also, we have plenty of results from Bengali Muslims. I myself have about 400+ individual HarappaWorld results that I managed to find off of GEDmatch. There are certainly cases where SW-Asian or something is elevated but they would be about 2.65% on Harappaworld compared to other Bengalis who would score 0% in that category. Same goes for the NE-Euro score, where the average is just 5%, with variation. I've seen some half-Bengali half-white results tho and one result where the kitholder said her grandmother or great-grandma was an Irish/British woman which helped because her results were genuinely atypical but that was 1 /400+.So that's unlikely, logistically speaking. There's a lot of people who claim mystical or foreign origins for whatever reasons, doesn't mea there's any truth to it. Same goes for the White Europeans that claim they're part-Native, you'll see this Cherokee pricness story pop up quite often on r/23andme.

Also, even if they mixed into the local population, there is no genetic structure outside of obvious geographical distinctions. Bengali Muslims don't have endogamous genetic structure like Hindus. In order for those traits to have been preserved they would need to have mixed with other high-Euro mixed people and frankly, the results we have disprove that.
