He was half Romanian and half Irish ethnically (much like yourself). :) He fits in quite well with Anglo-Celtic Australians. His mother was born in Manchester and was of Irish descent. He married Esther Mahony. He was also Labor which was very working class and attracted a lot of Irish Catholics.

You're right. I didn't know about him until recently. Seems like an interesting character during the 20s and 30s.
