With the use of cad drawing (http://www.enventureonline.com/) becoming more prominent in the fields of design and construction, engineers, architects and even the clients have replaced the traditional way of drawing the plans on paper and turned to computer aided design. The user requires certain skills to be able to read the CAD files and most CAD tools produce designs that are generally easy to interpret by someone who has basic computer skills. Designing an object in a 3d interface not only provides you with a life like experience of the model but also gives you accurate info regarding its scale, measurements and dimensions which makes the task of an architect much easier.

When it comes to reading a CAD generated file, there are file reader applications available for free and to be purchased. As there are various CAD tools, the file formats of the output file will vary from each other. For ex; a file with name plan.dwg indicates that it is a DWG file. You can get the required reader application from the internet which is free and allows you to read almost all sorts of CAD files. This makes it easier for designers and architects to share the files with each other. Once you have opened the 3d model using the CAD reader, you can analyze it as a whole. You can identify the texture or material used in the design. You can know the measurement and dimension of each side of the building and certain CAD programs even have dedicated "materials" screens where you can view the design with information about all the materials used. The tolerance of the model is another factor to consider as this has a direct relation with the safety of the building.
