His nose, in my opinion, is too much for a Cromagnon or Alpine.

Kubrat: Looks like a very robust Cro-Magnoid type, but some of his robustness could signify he has something Turanid about him, and he also has some Dinarid/Dinaro-Pontid influences.
Tervel Pulevi: Looks like a Cro-Magnon/Alpinized Cro-Magnon with Pontid/Dinaro-Pontid influences.

They are not typical, they are very rare. Turanids according to Bulgarian anthropologists represent 0,5% of the population.
This type is the small legacy of Huns here. Also, a minority of Bulgars displayed such traits due to mixing with Eurasian populations but rarely (Bulgars were mainly of Mediterranean and Iranic stock).
However, Uralic (with possible East Asian origin) haplogroup N1c1 and Central Asian haplogroup Q combined make only 1% of Bulgarian population:

According to some study from several years ago only 0,21% of Bulgarians have an epicanthus.
