He is another example of someone whose looks cannot possibly be explained by the ethnogenesis of the Italian people.. and what's the chance two bizarre looking people would appear together on the same show and both be actually Italian when people who look like that are one in a million if even?

He looks like some combination of Berber, Korean, black, and Southern European.

His mother looks mixed too and read the caption.. she's supposedly Portuguese. But I can say, no Portuguese looks like her either! Probably Brazilian. And he's from Rhode Island, with large Brazilian and Cape Verdean populations so he may be one or the other.

If we talk about "estreme exotic atypical types", then you will find far more questionable looking people even in Northern Europe.

True, because sometimes you get pseudo Asiatic (non-Caucasoid) types up there, while in Southern Europe the most rare you get are West Asian looking people.

As far as Pauly D goes, it's evident his "Portuguese" mother is Brazilian or a light Cape Verdean, which explains his odd look. If I knew her surname I might be able to guess, since some Americanized spellings are unique more to Cape Verdeans and Brazilian immigrants have not adopted them.

How do know his Mom is Portuguese. I agree, she looks like she has some SSA blood but that is not uncommon in Portuguese people. Tbh I always thought he looked quite Italian - quite Dinaric traits.
