Napoleon said for Karadjordje that he is the greatest military leader there is at that time, greater than him.

On the question who is the greatest military leader, French emperor Napoleon answered: "It is easy for me to be great, with our experienced army and great resources, but, far in the south, on the Balkans, there is a man, coming from a simple people, that by gathering his cattleman with no weapons he attempted to shake the basis of an allmighty Ottoman empire and in the same way free his enslaved people". - That is black George-Karadjordje and to him does the glory of the greatest military leaders belong
