I currently use Windows 7 64bit

I use Fedora it is on my laptop and but not the desktop atm.

I have fooled around with FreeBSD and Solaris but not recently.

Solaris I found to be the most difficult of all of them.

*not that Windows or Linux are difficult although some Linux distros are for advanced users.

Windows 8 Consumer Preview.
How is that? Does it run very well, I was tempted to try it.

Windows 7. I used Ubuntu Linux for some time, but it was too much effort for me, to always look for programs and also installing them sometimes consumed a lot of time...

Windows 8 is pretentious and confusing, the Metro design is retarded. It will sell though because everyone just has to have the latest artsy touch-screen hunk of junk. We are entering a technological dark age.

I was looking at it, it sorta reminded me of my X-box 360.

I have a feeling that it will be slow, heavy and underperformed just like Vista...

I am using the Windows 7. This is the latest OS from the Microsoft and it becomes very popular. Some features in this OS are amazing for working accurately and fast.

Indeed. I had the opportunity to see Windows 8 and Windows 10. They bring absolutely nothing new to the table and I don't like the interface.

I would still use Windows XP if it could support modern software and hardware.

When there will be an attack of nostalgia for the early 90s, it will be necessary to take a look.
