I was surprised when I discovered that he is... Greek! His name is Jason Mantzoukas and he's an actor in the movie The Dictator

No, not after so many other peoples have settled there and mixed with the greeks. Most modern greeks are descendants of Slavs, Vlachs, Arvanites and Turks, who have been hellenized over time. Remember the Byzantine empire and later the Ottoman empire were multi-ethnic empires, and greece was a part of both.

This is the problem when minorities are not recognized. In Greece, there are no minorities officially - only a 1% muslim minority. Therefore even the gypsies are counted as Greeks.

Technically, he's white from a Puerto Rican sense (impure, obviously admixed, Caucasoid). He has Sikh / high caste features, typical of Bollywood actors but quite untypical for Gypsies, where coarser types are much more prevalent. Veddoid influence is obvious, but does not obscure Iranid predominance.
