Areas like North America and (northern-temperate) Eurasia has almost no megafauna, contrary to the recent pleistocene. There is still no exact conclusion as to what wiped them out. Climate change and over-hunting are brought up frequently.
There are possibilities of populating these locations with elephants, large felines, etc. to fill the old niches of mammoths etc.
Do you think this is a good idea?
