"The man from Corbus", eccentric architect who flouted sound engineering principles to build structures which defied rather than complied with the laws of nature.

His contempt for nature is nowhere better illustrated than in southeast Asia where, as if he were in Paris, he erected plywood buildings with no regard for the humidity of the region. The plywood became de-laminated and the buildings have, by now, all disintegrated.
